What is CBD and how does it work?
We know there are many things to consider when selecting the right dosage and product. It can be overwhelming to get started when faced with all of the options currently on the market. Our philosophy is that staying as true to nature as possible simplifies the process and helps you rest assured that you are getting a quality product, unadulterated by gimmicks or additives.

WHAT IS CBD?
CBD, or cannabidiol, is a compound found primarily in the flowers and leaves of the hemp plant. Hemp is part of the cannabis family, but is extremely low in THC, meaning that it is non-intoxicating. CBD is one of the most powerful cannabinoids found in hemp, but there are others like CBN, CBG, and CBC each with their own unique healing properties. THC is undetectable in Small Farma’s final products.
Hemp oil is a non-addictive, non-habit forming, non-intoxicating supplement to be used in conjunction with other health and lifestyle approaches to support a happy mood and a balanced body.
THE ENDOCANNABINOID SYSTEM
The Endocannabinoid system (or ECS) is a system of receptors running throughout the body and brain. When nourishing the ECS with phytocannabinoids (plant-derived cannabinoids like CBD) we boost the ECS’s ability to do its job. Ultimately, this leads to greater balance or ‘homeostasis’.
FULL SPECTRUM
Speaking of staying as close to nature as possible! Our products are full-spectrum (unless otherwise indicated) which means that they preserve the plant compounds that work seamlessly together in nature to provide a multi-pronged approach to healing. They are high in terpenes (volatile oils found in plants) which mean they smell and taste like the hemp plant in its truest form. Due to what’s referred to as the Entourage Effect, hemp oil is most effective when as many of the naturally occurring plant compounds are preserved and can work together in the body.
ORGANIC AND CO2 PROCESSED HEMP
Small Farma works with only the highest quality CBD from local hemp farmers who are female-owned and fully sustainable in their practices. Small Farma uses both whole-flower infusions and CO2 extracted oils to craft unique botanical recipes. Each batch of Small Farma products is hand-crafted in our certified home kitchen apothecary to ensure a personalized product made with attention to detail.
