My Business is a Taurus, What’s Yours?

“Anything that helps an individual heal, stretch, and grow requires confrontation: updating a previous belief, reworking old patterns that no longer serve, overhauling your spiritual systems, implementing an elimination diet. Comfort is not a companion of change.”

Have you thought about your business’s astrological sign?

Small Farma is a Taurus and that is just so fitting. This bitch wants to get earthy AF. She wants to roll around in herbs, lather and bathe herself in decadent scents and surround herself with sensual pleasures. She’s also a bit stubbornly proud of where she came from and refuses to quit.

Note: 👉 I know we are still in Aries season, I don’t mean to skip over you my Aries friends, it’s just that you terrify me a little bit.😅

I started four LLC’s in the last three years and have been on a (CBD-infused) rollercoaster of shared ownership and relationships. I finally got off the ride and it dumped me right at the doorstep of this business when I reincorporated as the sole Founder and CEO of Small Farma Wellness on April 23rd, 2020. In hindsight, I can see how my “collaborations” were attempts to hide behind others. Outwardly, I was extolling the virtues of shared ownership, and inside I was terrified that doing something on my own would expose me as a fraud. Can you relate?

Community is my passion in life, but this process taught me that to be an effective community member (also partner, friend, lover, daughter, sister, parent, etc…) you first need to feel whole within yourself. Riding the coattails of others just leaves you feeling frustrated and resentful and is different from working collaboratively with other people when your sense of self worth is strong.

There is nothing wrong with being in the process of building self-worth, and there will always be new challenges, but the feeling of creating from a place that is totally autonomous can never be achieved by hitching your wagon to someone else’s star. Your dreams are yours. Protect them, love them, and invite in the people who help you lift them up. The others will fade away.

Thank you to this business for providing the grounding that I need. For helping me get my hands in plants, for giving me a way to connect with other creators, for providing a creative outlet that I lacked for so long.
